Some Liverpool fans have been left unimpressed with reports that the Reds could loan Timo Werner back out to RB Leipzig next season.
The German continues to be linked with a transfer to Liverpool, but a fresh update has provided another twist.
According to Goal’s Ronan Murphy, via Bild, Werner could join the Reds this summer, only to be loaned out to his current club immediately for the entirety of 2020/21.
The 24-year-old would then return to Liverpool ahead of the 2021/22 season, much in the same way Naby Keita did when he joined from Leipzig.
The report has not gone down too well with a selection of Reds supporters, who are keen to see the striker at Anfield next season, bringing quality and depth to Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
These fans took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the matter, saying it makes little sense to them, with Werner needed immediately.
