Liverpool have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table after Man City were held 2-2 by Newcastle United at St James Park.
A late goal from ex-Liverpool man Jonjo Shelvey meant that the points were shared between the two sides in the North East, despite Kevin de Bryune scoring a superb goal that looked likely to give Guardiola’s side the three points.

The result has obviously gone down with a lot of Liverpool fans, with many thanking the ex-red for the goal.
