Liverpool’s first signing of the January transfer window will become official on Wednesday with the arrival of Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg.
The attacking midfielder will only officially become a Liverpool player on New Year’s Day, but he has already arrived at Melwood to begin training with his new teammates.

It will be very interesting to see what Jurgen Klopp has in store for Minamino in the second-half of the season. Will he play centrally, out wide or up front? He is a versatile player who can play in a myriad of different ways, which gives Klopp an array of options with his team selections.
It is unlikely that he will break into the starting XI straight away, given the quality currently in the team, but he could prove himself to be an excellent player to come off the bench. He also has plenty of years ahead of him to establish himself at Anfield.
