Liverpool fans react to the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford

Liverpool drew 1-1 at Old Trafford in a very controversial match.

In the first half, Liverpool looked lacklustre, clumsy and very poor. Manchester United were fired up for the game and so was the crowd.

Divock Origi was challenged by Victor Lindelof during the build play for United’s first goal. They hit Liverpool on the counter-attack and Marcus Rashford comfortably slotted it past Alisson.

Just before half time, Sadio Mane equalised for Liverpool, however, it was disallowed for a handball, rightly so.

In the second half, Jurgen Klopp’s boys pushed on for an equaliser but were struggling.

Adam Lallana, Oxlade- Chamberlain and Naby Keita came on the pitch and changed the game completely. As a result of that, Lallana scored an equaliser late on that keeps Liverpool’s unbeaten record intact.

Liverpool fans shared their mixed feelings on social media, and here’s what some of them had to say.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

The question that everyone is asking is, was it one point gained or two points dropped? In my opinion, it was both.

That was an absolute stinker from Martin Atkinson. To now, I have no clue why he allowed the play to continue when it was blatantly obvious that Divock Origi was fouled during United’s first goal.

Having said that, Liverpool were pretty dreadful and it was a real shame that they could not get three points against a poor Manchester United side.

But, Liverpool showed resilience, grit and determination to get back into the game. In previous years, Liverpool would have crumbled in these type of environments. But, Jurgen Klopp has installed backbone into this wonderful Liverpool side.
