In a rather odd interview after his side beat Southampton 2-1 at the Etihad, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola accused Sadio Mane of helping rivals Liverpool win games late on by diving.

These Reds fans didn’t take too kindly to Guardiola’s comments and all urged Mane to do one thing if he scores when the two sides meet next weekend.

Mane has to run over to pep and do the suarez dive if he scores against city

For context, Luis Suarez famously dived in front of then Everton manager David Moyes after a goal in the Merseyside Derby after the then Blues’ boss accused the Uruguayan of being a diver in the build up to the game.

Guardiola is a clever man and he doesn’t say things by chance. He was fully aware that his comments would spread far and wide and have people talking about Mane being a diver.
Whether he’s trying to get in Mane’s head, or in the minds of the officials for next week’s game, Guardiola has his reasons for making his comment
Even so, Liverpool can’t let that bother them but it would, if truth be told, be funny if Mane does emulate the Suarez dive in front of the away dugout if he scores against City next weekend.
