Georginio Wijnaldum’s current Liverpool contract expires in the summer of 2021.
The midfielder is a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad and has been very impressive this season, playing 30 times in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
The Dutchman is much loved by the Liverpool fans, mostly because of the passion he shows on the pitch and his genuinely nice character off the pitch too.
The midfielder has remained tight-lipped on his future and has left the door open to potentially leaving the club.
When speaking about his future to Sky Sports, Wijnaldum said:
What would I like? It is difficult to say. It depends on what the club wants and how the situation is at that time. We will see.
These Liverpool fans are desperate to keep Wijnaldum at the club and his recent Tweet has been flooded with fans urging him to sign a new contract at the club.
