A number of Liverpool supporters have been hailing the performance of Dayot Upamecano against Tottenham, with some suggesting that he could be an excellent signing for the Reds this summer.
The 21-year-old took to the field on Tuesday evening, as his RB Leipzig side hosted Tottenham in the Champions League.
Upamecano caught the eye on the night, as Leipzig cruised to a 3-0 victory to reach the quarter-final, prevailing 4-0 on aggregate after a dominant two-legged showing.
The Frenchman caught the eye throughout against Jose Mourinho’s side, enjoying an 86 per cent pass completion rate, as well as making six tackles and three dribbles, playing in the middle of a three-man defence.
With Dejan Lovren potentially leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, Jurgen Klopp might be searching for a new centre-back, providing competition for Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
