Liverpool line up move for Munas Dabbur

Liverpool are lining up a potential move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Munas Dabbur, according to Sam McGuire of Football Whispers.

The Reds want to add more attacking depth to their squad and as such, they’ve been keeping a close eye on the Israel international.

Dabbur was in great goalscoring form last season, netting 22 goals in 32 matches in all competitions as Salzburg won the Austrian Bundesliga and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Many people questioned whether the 26-year-old would be able to repeat his exploits in the current campaign, but he’s proved the doubters wrong as he’s already scored 16 goals this season and added six assists too.

According to the report, Liverpool’s chief scout Barry Hunter has travelled to Austria on numerous occasions to watch the striker in action for Salzburg and it appears that he’s been impressed with what he’s seen.

With doubts remaining over the futures of Divock Origi, Dominic Solanke and Daniel Sturridge, it makes sense for the Reds to be looking at other forward options and it looks like Dabbur is the man they’ve identified.
