It is ‘probable’ that Liverpool won’t sign either Jadon Sancho or Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.
The Reds had a quiet summer last time around, despite calls from supporters to sign big-name players.
Sancho and Mbappe are two of the most sought-after individuals in world football and the Reds have been linked with both in recent months.
Despite this, Ornstein isn’t convinced a move for either will materialise, because Liverpool have ‘little interest’ in spending big on players who won’t definitely start every game.

This is a potential blow for supporters, who are desperate to see Sancho or Mbappe come in, particularly the latter.
While Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all at the club, however, it is hard to see why a world-class attacker needs to come in.
Should one leave, that would change things, but current evidence suggests the trio are all happy at Anfield.
There is no doubting that both Sancho and Mbappe would be outstanding signings, however, should either end up joining.
The former is now an established England international with huge potential, while the latter is already a World Cup winner and one of Europe’s most feared players.
