Liverpool remain undefeated after securing a 1-0 win over Brighton at Anfield.
A lone Mohamed Salah goal was enough for the Reds, who did look nervy come the end of the game.
Here’s how we rated the Reds.
Alisson – 8
Made some key saves, keeping out the Seagulls. Showing his worth already.
Trent Alexander Arnold – 7
Another impressive display from the youngster But not a standout one from his collection of solid appearances.
Virgil van Dijk – 7
Solid, with another clean sheet.
Joe Gomez – 7
Forming an effective partnership with Van Dijk now. Pushing for England spot.
Andy Robertson – 7
Did very well, played effectively as a wing back essentially..
Gini Wijnaldum – 7
Had some nice touches in midfield. Kept things ticking over.
Naby Keita – 7
Played his role very effectively. Top signing for the reds.
James Milner – 7
Crossing very effective, but saw some rough challenges.
Sadio Mane – 5
Was unable to get much space. Could’ve done more.
Roberto Firmino – 6
Only one of the front three without a goal. Brighton’s tactics limited the Brazilians effectiveness.
Mohamed Salah – 7
Scored a goal but could’ve done a lot more. Finish was outstanding in fairness.
Subs:
Daniel Sturridge – 5
Jordan Henderson – 5
Joel Matip – N/A
