Liverpool continued their charge in the Premier League with a memorable 5-2 win over rivals Everton at Anfield on Wednesday evening.
Divock Origi was at the double, while Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri and Gini Wijnaldum also scored, earning all three points for the Reds.
Everton did score twice through Michael Keane and Richarlison, but that wasn’t even enough to make the result interesting.
Jurgen Klopp made five changes to the regular side, with Shaqiri, Origi and Adam Lallana coming into the team.
While supporters showed concern in the minutes leading up to kickoff, the manager again showed why should be trusted week in, week out.
He knows a lot about football!
The performance was scintillating at times and Liverpool remain eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, ahead of Leicester City, as well as 11 clear of Manchester City.
