Liverpool sent another massive statement to their league rivals by smashing second-placed Leicester City 4-0 away at the King Power Stadium and going 13 points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand.
Roberto Firmino scored a brace, while James Milner chipped in with a penalty and Trent Alexander-Arnold rounded off the win.
The Reds dominated the game from the start and we saw Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane miss easy chances early on.
However, they took the lead in the 31st minute when Alexander-Arnold found Firmino with a brilliant cross for the Brazilian to head in.
Then, in the 70th minute, referee Michael Oliver gave Liverpool a penalty when a Trent corner was handled by Caglar Soyuncu in the box.
Milner stepped to convert the penalty with his first touch of the game. The aforementioned corner taker again came with an assist for Firmino to make it 3-0 for the Reds.
He then got a goal for himself a few minutes later on to seal the victory.
All in all, a complete performance from Jurgen Klopp’s men who are in complete control of this title race.
