Liverpool continued their remarkable start to the Premier League season by comfortably beating defending champions Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield on Sunday.
The victory put them eight points clear at the top of the table, with Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane the goalscorers, and Bernardo Silva netting for the visitors.
After a good start to the game by City, Liverpool counter-attacked with a fast move that was finished by a thunderous strike by Fabinho.
It was 2-0 to the home side in the 13th minute, when Andy Robertson found Salah with a delicious cross for the Egyptian to head home.
Liverpool controlled things in the second half, making it 3-0 in the 51st minute when Mane headed in a cross from Jordan Henderson.
City did score through Silva 12 minutes from time, but they never had enough cutting edge to complete a comeback.
Here’s how we rated Liverpool’s players on a memorable afternoon at Anfield…
