Liverpool sent scouts to watch Trabzonspor goalkeeper Cakir

Liverpool look healthy in the goalkeeping department currently – something that certainly hasn’t always been the case down the years.

In Alisson, the Reds arguably have the world’s best goalkeeper in their ranks, with Adrian a very able deputy.

Meanwhile, Caoimhin Kelleher and Kamil Grabara are exciting young players and there has even been talk of Loris Karius returning to Anfield.

That hasn’t stopped Liverpool from reportedly scouting another potential signing, however.

According to Sabah, via Sport Witness, the Reds sent scouts to watch Trabzonspor stopper Ugurcan Cakir in action on Monday night, as his side drew 2-2 away to Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Super Lig.

Incidentally, both Martin Skrtel and Daniel Sturridge scored on the night, with the latter netting for Trabzonspor.

Liverpool are believed to be weighing up an offer of around €15 million next summer, having been linked with him back in the summer.

Although Cakir is clearly an impressive ‘keeper, there isn’t the need for a new face at Anfield currently.

It may be that Adrian is moved on in the relatively near future, but Kelleher and Grabara will believe they can make the grade at Liverpool.
