Liverpool are to loan Danny Ward out to Huddersfield Town according to a report from the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
The Terriers’ main priority this summer is to sign a pair of new goalkeepers as their current situation is very poor. Their current number one Jed Steer is set to return to Aston Villa when his loan ends and their other senior goalkeeper Joe Murphy is set to be out until October with a serious injury.
And it looks like the West Yorkshire side will go one step to resolving that problem by signing Ward on loan in the summer. He is a highly rated goalkeeper within the Liverpool youth system and will move to Huddersfield in order to continue his development.
Ward will probably not be the last player to make a temporary move from Liverpool to Huddersfield. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Huddersfield head coach David Wagner share a friendship having worked together at Borussia Dortmund and it is likely that friendship will see more players head to the John Smith’s Stadium.
