At the pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp gave an update on the fitness of Liverpool midfielders Naby Keita and Adam Lallana.
Keita was substituted early in the first half of Liverpool’s Champions League defeat to Napoli on Wednesday night. When asked about him, Klopp said,
Not 100 per cent sure, he had a back spasm. So we have to wait a little bit.
He added,
He will be in today; if he can do something on the training ground, I don’t know… We don’t know in this moment as well if he can train tomorrow, we have to see. It didn’t look too serious, so there’s a chance but we don’t know.
Adam Lallana has also returned to full training after recovering from sustaining a groin injury. Klopp said,
[Lallana] is in full training, we have to see.
Apart from those two, there are no other injury concerns for Jurgen Klopp ahead of the top of the table clash with Manchester City.
