Having already taken on Arsenal, Tottenham and reigning champions Leicester, Liverpool face another tough test on Friday night as they head to Stamford Bridge to do battle with the unbeaten Chelsea.
The Reds head into the iconic fixture on the back of a dazzling 4-1 victory over the champions at Anfield last Saturday, but will need to be at their very best to inflict a first defeat of the season on Antonio Conte’s men.
While Chelsea sit second, two points off leaders Manchester City, the Reds currently lie sixth, knowing victory will be enough to break into the top four – for a few hours at least.
After their nightmare title defence last term, Chelsea have established themselves as title contenders early on with some strong performances, boosted by the acquisition of midfield dynamo N’Golo Kante.
And aside from a disappointing 2-0 loss at Burnley, Liverpool have also impressed, and the array of talent available to both sides should make for a mighty combined XI.
