Liverpool are understandably the heavy favourites going into the 232nd Merseyside Derby against Everton at Anfield this weekend.
The two sides will compete in the main event of Super Sunday following Chelsea vs Fulham and Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur as the hosts look to continue pressuring Manchester City at the Premier League summit.
Marco Silva has Everton enjoying a good season themselves and the Toffees come into this one hoping to extend their three-match unbeaten run which has helped them move up the sixth in the league table.
Both league meetings between these two clubs last season ended in stalemates – 0-0 at Goodison Park and 1-1 across Stanley Park at Anfield – but Everton haven’t won this fixture since 2010.
They last triumphed at Liverpool in 1999 too and will need to be in top form if they are to break that torrid run on Sunday but for now, here is a rather one-sided combined XI.
