Liverpool watching Real Sociedad’s Diego Llorente

Liverpool are reportedly scouting Real Sociedad and Spain star Diego Llorente, according to recent reports.

The Reds sent scouts to watch the defender, with Spain taking on Croatia in the UEFA Nation’s League. However, they were left disappointed with the 25-year-old being an unused substitute.

The report by Cadena SER, cited by 101greatgoals.com, suggests the Reds have an interest in the former Real Madrid defender, who could be available for as little as 30 million euros, as per his release clause.

Jurgen Klopp could be looking to improve his defence, but would not be the only Premier League boss interested in the Spaniard. Newcastle and Tottenham are both taking a look at Llorente.

The match against Croatia wasn’t the only time Liverpool had watched Llorente, according to the report. Scouts sent by the Reds also watched the defender in Real Sociedad’s 3-1 win over Levante last week.

The Reds could also have been watching other stars in the game, where Croatia managed a 3-2 win over the former World and European champions.
