Liverpool’s Liam Millar set to return on loan from Kilmarnock

Liverpool youngster Liam Millar has been recalled from his loan spell at Kilmarnock.

The 20-year-old Canadian international made over 20 appearances during his time at the club this season, scoring one goal in the process, via TransferMarkt.

The player is now set to return to Liverpool, with the Reds cutting his loan deal at the club short by six months.

BBC Sport report that the player was scheduled to remain at the Scottish side until at least the summer, after rejoining the club on loan last summer after signing an extended deal at Liverpool.

However, he will now return to the Reds early.

It is as of yet unknown why Millar has returned to the Reds, with the player receiving regular game-time at Kilmarnock this season.

The attacker only netted once during his time north of the border, but Kilmarnock had been struggling as of late.

With five defeats on the bounce, new boss Alex Dyer will be looking to right the ship.

He will now have to do it without Millar.

His future is still under question. He will likely now be either loaned out, or, if a club is interested, sold on.
