Liverpool only brought in four players during the last transfer window, although they did secure a deal to sign a fifth – Naby Keita – next year.
With Premier League football on the back burner thanks to another international break, it seems like a good time to check in on the four players the Reds brought in to see how they’ve performed so far and to give them a mark out of ten based on how they’ve played up to this point.
Mohamed Salah – 10
He has to get a ten, right? After his brace at West Ham, Salah has now scored 12 goals in 17 appearances and is already looking like a bargain.
Yes, he has missed the odd good chance but I’d have classed 12 goals in the entire campaign as a good season for him, so for him to reach that point by early November is amazing.
It’s not just the goals though. Salah’s pace terrifies defenders and he’s able to open up space for his teammates and his link-up play has been borderline unstoppable at times. The Egyptian has been phenomenal so far, long may it continue!

Dominic Solanke – 6
Solanke looked good in pre-season, good enough that he leapfrogged Divock Origi in the pecking order, forcing the Belgian to go out on loan to get game time.
Solace has made some decent cameos from the bench and you can tell there is a player in there, but he’s been unable to get a goal yet.

Andrew Robertson – 7
He’s only played in three games but Andy Robertson deserves a decent mark. In the games he’s played in, he’s looked really sharp in attack and pretty solid in defence. Unfortunately for Robertson, Alberto Moreno’s redemption has meant he’s hardly seen any action, but when he had played, he’s looked good.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked a bit useless at first, especially in the League Cup loss at Leicester, but he started impressing when coming off the bench and in his last few starts, he’s been really good.
His versatility is a great asset for the Reds, who’ve used him both as a winger and a midfielder, and he’s starting to look at home in this Liverpool side.
