Mane not worried about fatigue during busy fixture period

It is the time of the year where the fixture schedule becomes gruelling for almost every team up and down the country.

Playing matches every couple of days can become too much for some teams, who then crumble under the pressure.

But that is something that Liverpool star Sadio Mane is not concerned about in this year’s title race.

The Reds recently returned from Qatar after winning the Club World Cup and followed that glory up with a resounding victory over Leicester City on Boxing Day. As quoted on the Liverpool Echo, Mane said:

To be honest, I think [tiredness] is not a problem for us, we are used to it.

Tiredness is always mental – in the head – so we always focus on the same target. We want to win something for the team, so you have to sacrifice yourself.

In this situation, we know it, you have to deal with it and keep going until the end of the season.

If there were any doubts about Liverpool’s mentality, this ends it for good. Despite being one of the most explosive and energetic teams in world football, Mane isn’t worried in the slightest about any fatigue creeping in.

This team truly are mentality monsters, as many fans have labelled them recently.

Much of that has to go down to Jurgen Klopp, who has drilled this winning mentality into every member of the squad. Hearing Mane speak like this also puts fans at ease.
