Liverpool have been hit with a big blow as Joel Matip has been ruled out of the game against Napoli this week.
Matip was expected to be back last weekend following an injury to his knee, which ruled him out for six weeks. However, according to The Mirror, he is now set for a second scan after suffering a setback.
His last appearance came in a 1-1 draw against Manchester United, with Liverpool now awaiting the results of his second scan to determine how long he will be out for.

Dejan Lovren has been excellent in recent weeks, which has eased the loss of Matip in a sense. That is not a slight on Matip, but Lovren has stepped up and been able to fill the void left by the Cameroon defender, playing alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the back.
It will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp sticks with Lovren for the game against Napoli, or if he decides to throw Joe Gomez in and hand him some minutes. Gomez has struggled to break into the team this season and is surely chomping at the bit to be given an opportunity to impress the boss.
