Liverpool drew 1-1 against Napoli in a very frustrating and poor performance by the current European Champions.
In the first half, it was obvious what Carlo Ancelotti’s side was trying to implicate. They took the sting out of the game, and played defensive football.
Dries Mertens struck first with a controversial effort, but VAR eventually made the correct call and Napoli went into the lead at Anfield.
During the second half, it was very similar to the opening period. Liverpool looked naive and lacklustre. But, Dejan Lovren equalised for Jurgen Klopp’s side with a towering header, to salvage a point.
Here’s what Liverpool fans had to say after a dull night at Anfield.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
That was one of the most awkward games of football I’ve encountered all season.
Liverpool looked flat, lethargic and clueless at times. Klopp’s line up was questionable, and it baffled me why Gomez started ahead of Trent at right-back.
On the other hand, Napoli do deserve some immense credit. The Serie A giants defended with pride and efficiency, and they certainly deserved something from the game.
