A young Liverpool side will aim to make a name for themselves when they face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals at Villa Park on Tuesday night.
With the Reds’ first team due to play in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in Qatar on Wednesday, the remaining Under-23 players will take matters into their own hands the night before.
In addition, there will be no Jurgen Klopp on the touchline – something that has happened once before since the German’s arrival at the club, in a Premier League game against Sunderland in 2016.
