Liverpool will stride out in the Khalifa Stadium on Saturday evening to win their first Club World Cup when they face Brazilian side Flamengo in the final of this competition.
The Reds reached this stage after winning the Champions League and having beaten Monterrey in the semi-final a couple of days back.
Jurgen Klopp rotated his first XI on Wednesday, and the team looked a bit disjointed, especially out of possession. Expect the manager to field his first-choice available XI against Flamengo.
Liverpool’s opponents are a tough proposition, in terms of the intensity of their game and the will to win this competition at any cost.
Klopp would be delighted that star defender Virgil van Dijk is back to fit to start on Saturday. The Reds need the Dutchman to play in central defence, a position where they are terribly short at this point in time.
Georginio Wijnaldum also had a session today, however, he is not in line to be included for this game.
