Liverpool will aim to qualify for the knockout stages and cement a place at the top of their Champions League group when they face troubled Italian side Napoli on Wednesday night at Anfield.
The Reds are currently top of their group and a win against Carlo Ancelotti’s men would confirm their place in the last 16 and also make them outright group winners.
In a way, knowing that Jurgen Klopp’s men have a very busy December ahead, they could do by winning on Wednesday and confirming qualification. That would allow the manager the opportunity to fully rotate his first-choice XI for a game against Salzburg in two weeks’ time.
Napoli have been a club in a lot of trouble, mostly of their own doing during the last month. However, they cannot be taken lightly just because of the quality they possess.
For Liverpool, they may welcome Mohamed Salah back into the XI, while Xherdan Shaqiri could return to squad after making a come back in training last week.
