Liverpool will hope to return to winning ways in the league when they face Tottenham at Anfield this Sunday evening.
After winning their opening eight league games, the Reds stuttered a bit and managed to only draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United. That result did trim their lead at the top to six points.
Now, with Manchester City again playing first this week and expected to win, Jurgen Klopp’s men could kick-off on Sunday only three points ahead.
So, in terms of the context of this season, this is a must-win for them, as has been every league game since the start of last season.
They face a Spurs side whose league form has been atrocious, but they got some form back by thrashing Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
In terms of team news, Liverpool will have fullback duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson starting this game. Joel Matip could miss this game and Xherdan Shaqiri is still a bit away from fitness.
