Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, with the French club adamant that he is not for sale.
According to Marca, PSG are insistent that Mbappe will not be leaving the club and that he is currently in talks over a new contract with the Ligue 1 giants.
The Reds have been linked with a move for Mbappe in recent weeks, with Real Madrid also said to be keen on a deal for the forward.

A move for Mbappe was always going to be an ambitious one for Liverpool, considering the fees that would be involved. The 20-year-old signed for PSG for a fee in the region of €180m and has scored 48 goals in 53 appearances for the club since signing permanently.
This means that, if anything, his value will have increased and PSG would demand a ludicrous sum of money to let him leave. However, PSG are seemingly confident that he will still be at the club for the foreseeable future, making it all the more unlikely that Liverpool will be able to bring him to England.
The French international has already scored 100 career goals before the age of 21 and would be a sensational signing if Liverpool could sign him. You can never say never in football, but this rumour looks like it is going to be put on ice for now…
