The 20-year-old who has been dubbed ‘the Nigerian Ronaldo’ is on Liverpool’s radar, but according to Nigerian outlet HLN, Moses Simon will cost a cool £15m.
The winger was linked with the Reds back in 2013 before he signed a pre-contact agreement to join Ajax for their pre-season campaign.
Nothing came of his time with the Dutch giants, however, and he found himself at AS Trencin.
Simon impressed in the Slovakian league, scoring 13 goals in 33 appearances, and earned himself a move to his current club, KAA Gent.
If the Daily Mail are to be believed, Tottenham are also interested in luring the youngster to the Premier League.
After helping Gent to a terrific season in the Belgian Pro League, HLN claim that the price of the talented forward has multiplied, far surpassing the minimal fee that the Belgian side paid for his services.
The Mail report that Simon caught the eye of Liverpool scouts – for the second time in his career – as they were watching his team mate, Belgian international striker Laurent Depoitre.
For obvious reasons, Gent are said to be desperate to keep their Nigerian star, but a bid of £15m could be too tempting to turn down should either Liverpool or Spurs offer up that kind of money.
