Richard Keys questions VAR following Liverpool’s opening goal vs Wolves

Richard Keys has questioned VAR after Sadio Mane’s goal against Wolves was allowed to stand despite an apparent handball in the build-up to the goal.

The beIN Sports presenter uploaded an image to Twitter in which Virgil van Dijk appears to handle the ball prior to his pass to Adam Lallana, who then assisted Mane’s goal.

Keys continued to question both the VAR decision and Anthony Taylor’s explanation of why the goal was allowed to stand.

The footage of the incident does appear to show Van Dijk handling the ball slightly as he attempts to control it.

And given how closely analysed a number of VAR decision’s have been this season, it is slightly surprising to see how the goal was allowed to stand.
