Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler believes Jurgen Klopp’s side must win silverware to be considered successful.
Klopp is still waiting for his first trophy as Reds boss, with the club’s drought dating back to 2012.
Although the German is doing an excellent job, Fowler is one of those who believes the time has come to win something.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the former striker outlined his thoughts on the current situation:

As much as we talk about Liverpool being this unbelievable side who are easy on the eye and great to watch, there comes a time when you need to start winning stuff.
I’m not one of these fans that think you should be celebrating finishing fourth. I think a chairman or the owners should be the ones celebrating. For me that’s celebrating mediocrity. I’ve always wanted to win stuff.
I don’t care if it’s a League Cup. People will belittle that but I’ve won one, it’s a brilliant trophy.
When you think of football in terms of what you can win there’s an FA Cup, a League Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League. There are only four trophies so it’s tough.
There is a general feeling that tends to side with Fowler, when it comes to this current Liverpool side.

They are clearly a wonderful team to watch, and now one of the best in Europe, but it would be a disappointment for this era to end trophy-less.
The Reds are already out of the League Cup, and with Manchester City looking ominous in the Premier League, it will be tough to end that wait for silverware this season.
It would be a major monkey off Klopp and his players’ backs if they could finish 2018/19 with glory of some sort.
