Rossiter faces spell out with hamstring injury

Jordan Rossiter has become the latest Liverpool player to pick up an injury.

The 18-year-old has picked up a hamstring injury after playing three games in just five days for England’s Under-19 side, according to Paul Joyce of the Express.

This sees another Liverpool player facing a spell out on the sidelines, after both Joe Gomez and Danny Ings both suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

Liverpool and England haven’t had the best of relationships in the past and this could well reignite their feud.

Joyce says that Liverpool believe this injury could have been prevented if the 18-year-old midfielder hadn’t taken part in each of the three games that were played in five days.

It’s a real shame for Rossiter, who has featured in both of Liverpool’s Europa League games so far and has showed the potential and talent that he has at his disposal.

Rossiter was out for the majority of last season with a knee injury and this hamstring injury will undoubtedly come as a frustration to the young scouser.
