Rangers pursuit of another loan star from Liverpool is seemingly over, with Dominic Solanke not set to leave Anfield on loan this season according to the Daily Express.
Steven Gerrard had been interested in bringing yet another player north of the border, after taking Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent on loan and Jon Flanagan on a permanent deal.
However, Solanke is set to stay at Liverpool, with the striker not being on the list of players the Reds are looking to loan out or sell.
Gerrard was reportedly interested in loaning the striker, offering him the chance of regular first team football for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
The Reds are reportedly looking to balance the books at Anfield after some expensive additions this transfer window.
Danny Ings and Divock Origi are both on the transfer list. However, Solanke won’t be leaving the club and will be part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
