So it’s come to this, Liverpool fans. Due to the implosion of hamstrings during Tuesday night’s 1-0 win over Stoke in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final, manager Jürgen Klopp has admitted that he will need to look at bringing in some centre-backs.
Prior to the match, the German was already without Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, with Joe Gomez lost long as soon as Klopp arrived. Dejan Lovren and Kolo Toure both pulled up with problems on Tuesday, leaving the Reds exposed at the position.
The below suggestions will be with players currently playing in the Premier League (or England), but there is every chance Klopp searches abroad too.
We look at some options available to Jürgen within the January transfer window.
