“Stop doing this to me” – Liverpool fans react to Salzburg win

Liverpool beat Red Bull Salzburg 4-3 in an end to end display that truly epitomised the ‘game of two halves’ cliche.

The in-form Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead and the flying Scotsman alongside the Eygptian King joined in the act to boost the score 3-0.

However, Salzburg got one back before half time which seemed like a consolation goal, at the time.

In the second half, the European Champions started poorly and Salzburg started gaining momentum. They punished Jurgen Klopp’s Reds and Liverpool capitulated.

But, when it mattered, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead once again, proving why he is one of the world’s best players.

After a nervy finish, Liverpool fans could not resist their thoughts on social media.

Well that was nuts, right?

Firstly, I want to give all credit to Red Bull Salzburg for showing such fight and desire and playing some high-quality football.

Liverpool seemed to underestimate their opponent and that is something they need to fix quickly.

Even though we scored four goals, it was overshadowed with the three goals conceded, and it was slightly worrying to watch the defence crumble.

However, the win secured an important three points and hopefully, Liverpool can carry on their fantastic run by beating Leicester on the weekend.
