Liverpool won the UEFA Super Cup for the fourth time on Wednesday night, beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties in Istanbul.
Oliver Giroud opened the scoring and Sadio Mane equalised early in the second half.
Liverpool’s brilliant No.10 then added a second in extra-time before Jorginho equalised from the penalty spot, taking the match into a shootout.
Adrian then saved Tammy Abraham’s spot-kick – the only failed effort out of 10 attempts – making him an instant hero and sealing the victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Liverpool fans expressed their delight on Twitter after the game.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
In truth, Liverpool were far from their sparkling best against Chelsea, but they are suddenly making a habit of winning trophies.
In years gone by, they would have succumbed in a match such as this, but they are made of sterner stuff these days.
After such a long, gruelling night, however, Saturday’s trip to Southampton becomes a far harder proposition.
Klopp will have to consider a fair bit of rotation, with both bodies and minds potentially tired.
