I am losing count of the number of times Liverpool have apparently been interested in Cakir, but there is simply no need to sign him.
That’s not downplaying his quality as a ‘keeper, but the Reds are well-stocked in that area.
In Alisson, I think Liverpool they have the best ‘keeper in the world, with another superb performance at West Ham highlighting his brilliance.
Adrian has proven to be an able deputy, too, coming in for the Brazilian for two months earlier in the season, helping the Reds clinch Super Cup glory.
On top of that, there are emerging young ‘keepers such as Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher hoping to make the grade long-term at Anfield.
