Trent Alexander-Arnold was close to his brilliant best on Monday night, as Liverpool beat West Ham in the Premier League.
The Reds won 3-2 at Anfield, with Alexander-Arnold arguably his side’s standout performer. The 21-year-old assisted two of his side’s goals, including Sadio Mane’s winner.
Those assists took Alexander-Arnold’s tally for the season to 13 in all competitions, as his vast influence shows no sign of deminishing.
The youngster has enjoyed a fantastic season, earning plaudits for his displays at right-back and someone who is a huge admirer of the England international is Gary Lineker.
He knows or thing or two about what makes a top footballer, having enjoyed a wonderful playing carer that spanned three decades.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the legendary former striker tipped Alexander-Arnold to be an all-time great English player:
Said it for a long time, he’s gonna be one of this country’s greatest ever players. 👌🏻 https://t.co/t0TGxVUFPZ

It is enormous praise, perfectly summing the meteoric progress made by the West Derby-born star in the past three or four years.
If he can avoid serious injury, the sky really is the limit for the creative hub of this incredible Liverpool team.
