It was a bitterly disappointing night for Liverpool as they have left themselves with a mountain to climb after losing 3-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Camp Nou.
The match started well enough for Liverpool as they created a few good chances and pressed the home side very well. But just before the half-hour mark former red Luis Suarez broke the deadlock with a neat finish to put Barca 1-0 up.
Liverpool came out of the break the much better side and really should have capitalised on a number of chances before a Lionel Messi brace gave Barcelona as massive advantage heading into the second leg.
Liverpool deserved much more from the match and will feel hard done by as 3-0 doesn’t tell the story of the match, but despite the result, there were some very good performances out there, but who do you think was the best?
