Georginio Wijnaldum is ‘very happy’ at Liverpool, despite claims that the midfielder could be sold before the end of his current deal.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has provided an update on the Dutchman’s future at Anfield, playing down rumours that he could be on the move in the coming months.
Solhekol adds that talks over a new deal for Wijnaldum are planned, with the player currently seeing no reason to leave the Premier League leaders.
David Ornstein of The Athletic reported earlier this week that the Reds haven’t ruled out selling the player.

This update from Solhekol will certainly ease the concerns of a number of Liverpool fans.
The prospect of the Dutchman leaving the club left plenty of supporters surprised, especially when you consider the starring role he has played during the club’s recent success both domestically and in Europe.
However, the confusion that the initial reports caused did highlight the togetherness that Jurgen Klopp and his staff have created at Anfield. Sadio Mane, via ESPN, has previously spoken about the atmosphere that surrounds the squad and how it plays into their success.
With Liverpool on the edge of Premier League glory, you would have to seriously wonder why a first-team regular would want to leave the club during this period of continued success.
