Dunn’s Morecambe win third consecutive game

Jack Dunn’s Morecame won their third game in a row as they overcame Portsmouth 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

The Liverpool loanee played 60 minutes for the Shrimpers, who move up fifth place in League Two with the victory.

Elsewhere, Adam Bogdan was in goal for Wigan Athletic as they drew 1-1 with Birmingham City, a result good enough to take the Latics up to 10th in the Championship.

In the same division, Danny Ward was in net for Huddersfield as they claimed a credible 1-1 draw at recently-relegated Aston Villa.

The Terriers remain undefeated after their opening three games – with two wins and one draw – and sit third in the league.

In League One, young Scot Ryan Fulton kept a clean sheet for Chesterfield as they beat Walsall 2-0 – a win that sees them rise to third in the league.

Then on Wednesday night, Ryan Kent played the full game for Barnsley as they overcame QPR 3-2 in The Championship.

The Oakwell side are now 7th in the league having won two and lost one of their opening three games.
