In the latest edition of ‘Getting to Know…’ – the new feature we have here at TBT which allows you to find out a bit more about Liverpool’s up and coming academy players – Jack Watson caught up with highly rated centre midfielder Jordan Lussey.
If you weren’t a footballer what would you be?
That’s a hard one. Ever since I was little I’ve always said I wanted to be a footballer. I’ve never really given anything else a thought! It would probably be something within sport.
Do you ever play yourself on FIFA or sign yourself for other clubs?
Haha! I’ve been asked this question a few times! Of course I’ve played myself! It’s every kid’s dream to be on FIFA. I got a tweet telling me I was on the updated Liverpool squad – I was made up!
Have you ever Googled yourself?
I think everyone’s done this at some point! I like to check for new pictures from matches.
Who is the joker in the dressing room?
We have a few to be fair! There’s a lot of banter within the group, it’d be hard to pick one. The staff are great as well!
What do you do when you’re not playing football?
I like to wind down and relax. I love finding a good TV series to keep me entertained!
Favourite TV show?
Prison Break! I was addicted to this show, could watch it all day!
Favourite film(s)?
Saving Private Ryan. Old classic, unbelievable!
Your footballing hero?
Steven Gerrard. He plays in the same position as me and he came through the Academy. He’s an inspiration.
Favourite car?
Aston Martin DB9.
Out of everyone in the squad, who spends the longest in the shower?
I’d have to probably say Yalany Baio, he’s his biggest fan and takes a bit of time.
Who do you room with on an away trip?
It changes quite a bit. I used to share a lot with Sam Gainford.
Who has the worst dress sense?
Again I’d say Yalany, although Joe Maguire has started coming in in some dodgy gear this year!
And finally, where will you be in five years?
My dream would be to play for Liverpool Football Club. Hopefully I can keep improving my game and see how far it can take me!
