Yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract at Anfield, speculation continues to grow surrounding the future of midfielder Emre Can.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder had a great end to the 2016/17 campaign for Liverpool and will look to build on that in the coming season, but with his contract set to expire next summer, Liverpool are in a tricky situation.
Liverpool risk losing him on a free transfer next summer if he doesn’t agree terms to a new contract, or they could cash-in on him before the transfer window closes and look to replace the German.

The club’s priority is to sign him to a new contract but clubs are looking to sign him, namely Serie A champions Juventus, who have offered €25m to sign him this summer, according to Wednesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the 23-year-old has moved ahead of the likes of Blaise Matuidi and Steven N’Zonzi on the club’s midfield wishlist, but their bid still falls short of Liverpool’s alleged €30m valuation of Can.
Eager not to lose any first-team players this summer, Liverpool are in a race against the clock to sort out a new contract for Can or risk seeing him leave for Juventus,
