Keita to repeat his Liverpool transfer wish to Leipzig

Naby Keita is ready to reiterate his desire to play for Premier League club Liverpool as Bundesliga side RB Leipzig rejected the Merseyside club’s £57m bid, according to a report on Goal.

The midfielder has been Liverpool’s primary target for several weeks and manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign him before the new Premier League season starts.

Keita himself is also eager to move to Anfield and has already told the German club of his desire to move twice but they want a whopping £70m for him.

The 22-year-old has returned to the German club for pre-season training as he looks to get himself in shape for whatever the new season throws at him.

Keita was hugely impressive last season in the Bundesliga, scoring eight times and assisting seven as Leipzig finished runners-up in the league.

Leipzig rejected the Reds’ bid and stated that the midfielder is not on sale at all, no matter what price but Klopp isn’t panicking just yet.

The German has stated that he will have patience and firmly believes that Leipzig will eventually sell Keita to the Reds.

The guinea international has dreamed of playing in the Premier League and will ask Leipzig respectfully over a move. Klopp rates Keita highly and believes he can develop into one of the best midfielders in the world and hopes that he can help him to do that.
