Liverpool join race for Seri

Liverpool are the latest side to join the race to sign midfielder Jean-Michael Seri according to the Daily Mirror.

Seri has attracted interest from all around Europe after some brilliant performances in the French league this season for Nice.

Fellow Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the race to sign the player this month to improve their midfield.

He was close to joining Spanish giants Barcelona during the summer but that move fell through for the Spanish club.

Seri had a release clause of £35 million and a deal which has 18 months left to run which could spark an interesting battle between a number of clubs for his signature.

The player would favour a move to the England and the Premier League which would leave for a battle with the top clubs in England.

Liverpool need a player in this position with Emre Can’s future looking like his future being away from the club and club captain Jordan Henderson being really injury prone of late.
