Liverpool do risk losing Emre Can on a free transfer next summer if they cannot agree a new contract with the German, while Juventus are eager to land the former Bayern Munich man during the current transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp is monitoring potential replacements for Can if contract talks turn sour and the Reds have been named by O Jogo among a host of clubs interested in signing Sporting midfielder William Carvalho.
It’s believed that the Portugal international will be leaving the club this summer and a move to the Premier League is a likely option for him. Sporting are ready to sell the player if a club meets their €30m valuation of him.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and West Brom are all also keen on signing the player this summer but Liverpool are likely only going to move for the player if Emre Can leaves the club or if they admit defeat in their efforts to sign Naby Keita from Leipzig.
