Liverpool make professional contract offer to Jordy Gaspar

Jordy Gaspar has enjoyed a great debut season with Lyon but he could be set to make a move to the Premier League.

According to TF1, Liverpool have made a contract offer to Gaspar for him to come and join the Reds in the summer.

The 19-year-old right-back, who can also play on the left side of the defence and at right midfield, made his first-team breakthrough with the Lyon this season and impressed during a Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Still on a youth contract, Gaspar has been courted by several European clubs including Liverpool and AC Milan who have both submitted professional contract offers for him.

Lyon have also made an offer to retain one of their talented young players for the long-term but the allure of the Premier League, or Serie A for that matter, could be enough to secure his signature.

Liverpool have struggled for fullback depth in recent seasons and Gaspar could be a talented youngster to bring in and develop.
