Liverpool reportedly interested in Jese Rodriguez

To play more first-team football, Jese Rodriguez made the decision to leave Real Madrid in the summer and join Paris Saint-Germain in a £21m deal.

However, since the move, Jese has been used sparingly by manager Unai Emery, making just 14 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice but the Spaniard has made just one start in Ligue 1 all campaign.

The former Spain U21 international has been touted for a potential loan exit from the French club and Las Palmas back in Spain have been linked with a move.

Miguel Angel Ramirez, the president of the La Liga club, has confirmed his side’s interest in the attacker but hasn’t got high hopes considering the interest from across Europe.

“Jese Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level — and that is very high.

“Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jese and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford that salary.

“With respect to other clubs, we are at a disadvantage and hence we have to wait. But we don’t want to create false expectations.”
