Liverpool set to miss out on £27m rated Dalbert to Inter

Liverpool are set to lose out on highly-rated full-back Dalbert Henrique to Italian giants Inter Milan after the San Siro club confirmed they are willing to meet his £27m valuation, according to a report on the Daily Star.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not giving up on Dalbert and still has hope that he can lure the full-back to the Premier League.

Dalbert was a star player for French Ligue 1 club Nice last season and the Brazilian is a very attacking player on the flank. He scored four times and assisted nine from the flank as he helped his side to a third placed finish in the league.

The left-back said: “My agent was contacted by over 10 European clubs, including Liverpool and Inter.

“Inter made a proposal that I find to be irresistible and I think over the next few days we can have a happy outcome for everyone.”

Inter Milan were reportedly not keen to spend over £18m on Dalbert but now it seems that they are ready to up their bid in an attempt to convince Nice to sell to the Serie A club rather than to Liverpool.

Dalbert has four years remaining on his Nice contract and the French club are in no hurry to offload the 23-year-old.

They will wait until their UEFA Champions League qualifier with Ajax is over before deciding where Dalbert will play his football for the upcoming season.

Liverpool have already strengthened their full-back position this summer with the signing of Andrew Robertson from Hull City and Klopp is still keen to add another in that department.
